The Client
Ljuba and Tiago came to us looking for more than just a house. They were looking for a home that could change with them, with different spaces for different moments and different people.
A quiet corner to retreat to. Open spaces to gather. Somewhere family and friends could stay, whether for a weekend or a little longer. A home that could feel intimate one day and full of life the next.
They had a strong affinity with Melbourne’s Inner North, particularly Fitzroy, Fitzroy North and Northcote. Fitzroy held a special significance as their first experience of Melbourne, making the eventual purchase there feel like a real full circle moment.
Character and style mattered, but so did the foundations. They wanted a home with a strong baseline of energy efficiency and the opportunity to keep improving it over time.
Above all, they wanted somewhere that felt good to come home to. Somewhere comfortable, considered and distinctly theirs, with enough flexibility to grow into for many years to come.

What we did
This was a brief we had a lot of fun with. It was evolving, challenging and required us to keep asking the question: what will actually make this feel like home?
We explored a number of different properties with Ljuba and Tiago, allowing the search to shape the brief rather than forcing every home into a checklist. A couple came close, but each one taught us something about what was still missing.
Then the Fitzroy home appeared.
It had the character, city views and sense of possibility they had been searching for. Spaces to retreat, spaces to gather and room to evolve as life changes around them.
We knew the auction would be competitive, so we prepared carefully and arrived with a clear sense of how the day was likely to unfold. When the moment came, there was less guesswork and more conviction.
Ljuba and Tiago secured the home at auction.
Five months after beginning the search, they had come full circle. Back to Fitzroy, where their Melbourne story began, and into a home they can now make their own.
What the client said
The Property
In their words
How can I explain just how great it is to work with Jason? Maybe this: even though he helped us buy our dream house, I’m a little sad we won’t be out visiting properties together every weekend anymore. Jason is an expert at what he does. He knows the market inside out, he’s well connected with sellers’ agents across the city, and he’s kind, honest and genuinely invested in his clients. He was right there with us the time we lost a house at auction. And when we won an even better one, it felt like a shared victory. I can’t recommend Jason highly enough to anyone looking to buy a home in Melbourne.

Let’s find that street.
Start with a call. Tell us what you’re after, what you’re working with, and the streets you’ve got your eye on — we’ll tell you where that budget really stretches, what’s about to come up, and how we’d go about landing it.
